Compost Socks with Jenny's Garden
About
A hands-on session on building compost socks and laying them on a slope to control erosion, slow stormwater and feed the soil, run by the Lower East Side Ecology Center as part of its Master Composter course. At Riverside Valley Community Garden (Jenny's Garden), 699 West 138th Street, near the 137 St–City College station on the 1. Thursday, November 12, 10am to noon; no price is published, and sign-up opens two to three weeks ahead.
