Local NYC Events is a free guide to public classes and events in New York. We read venues' own websites, check every listing by hand, and link each one back to the venue's page so people book with you directly.
If something about your listing is wrong, or you want a different photo, or you would rather not be here at all, it takes one email to hello@kraftstories.com. A person reads it.
Fix or update a listing
A changed price, a new time, a cancelled class, a wrong address. Send the page and the correct details and we fix it, usually the same day.

If you would rather we used a different image, or none, tell us which page. Send a photo you are happy for us to use and we will swap it in. Removals happen within two business days.

If you would rather not be listed at all, say so. We take your venue and its events off the site within two business days and stop adding new ones. No questions, no hard feelings.

What we do
- Read the dates, times, prices and address from your own public page, and check them against it before publishing.
- Write our own description of each event, in our own words.
- Link every listing to your page, so bookings and tickets go to you.
- Show a photo from your listing to identify the event, next to a link to your page, unless you ask us not to.
- Print the price exactly as you print it, and say so when you do not publish one.
What we never do
- Copy and paste your descriptions or marketing text.
- Charge you anything, or sell a higher place in the listings.
- Take bookings or money on your behalf.
- Use your logo or name to suggest you partner with or endorse us.
- List private, members-only or student-only events.
Questions venues ask
Why are we listed when nobody asked us?
Because the event is public and we think people in New York would want to go. It works like a newspaper listings column: we report the facts you publish and send readers to your page to book. If you would rather not be included, the removal route above is all it takes.
Does it cost anything?
No. Listing is free, and the order things appear in is never for sale.
Who owns the photos?
You do, or the photographer you hired. We show an image from your own listing to identify the event. If you hold the rights to an image on this site and want it changed or taken down, email us the page and it will be done within two business days.
How fast do removals happen?
Within two business days, usually sooner. Search engines can keep showing an old copy for a little while after that; it drops out the next time they re-read the page.

KraftStories, 93 Pearl St, 4th Floor, New York, NY 10004. We run a studio too, so we disclose it wherever it appears and list every other venue on the same terms.
