Wood Shop Basics: Coat Hangers
About
A three-hour beginner shop class at Makeville in Gowanus where you build a hardwood coat hanger with dowel pegs and hanging hardware, learning the miter saw, drill press, band saw and sanders along the way, including angled drilling. It runs Saturday, October 31, 2 to 5pm, at 119 8th St, Brooklyn, a few blocks from the 4 Av–9 St station (F, G, R). The price is printed as $150 tuition plus a $45 material/equipment fee ($195 in all). Makeville last ran this project in August on our calendar, and its other one-afternoon Wood Shop Basics project this month, the Serving Board, is listed as sold out.
