A Sonic Journey Through San Juan Hill with Mathis Picard

About

Pianist and composer Mathis Picard and guests trace the music of San Juan Hill, the neighbourhood razed to build Lincoln Center, through its early-20th-century rhythms. It plays twice on Wednesday 21 October in the Stanley H. Kaplan Penthouse on the 10th floor of the Rose Building at Lincoln Center (1 train to 66 St–Lincoln Center): the 11am show is a Relaxed Performance open to all, and the 1pm show is followed by an hour-long workshop for people living with dementia and their caregivers. Both are free through Lincoln Center Moments, with access by joining the programme's community online or calling 212-875-5375. It is the first of several free Lincoln Center programmes on our calendar this season, alongside the Open House on 24–25 October and the disability-arts celebration Magnificent on 5 December.
