Show Cards: Brush and Pen Lettering
About
A two-day, hands-on lettering workshop with John Downer: brush and pen lettering on 14 × 22-inch show cards in styles from the 1920s through the 1980s, plus color and layout that keep the words readable. November 7–8, 10 am–5 pm, at 41 Cooper Square (enter on East 7th Street), a block from Astor Pl (6). It costs $535, plus a $50 materials fee paid to the instructor; when we checked, registration hadn't opened yet. Type@Cooper's Brush Script Lettering weekend with Ken Barber follows two weeks later.
