Sawyer Avenue, Sunday Afternoon: Film Screening & Panel

About

A free screening of Sawyer Avenue, Sunday Afternoon, a short documentary by Cooper alum Bill Morrison, presented with The New Yorker. The film cuts Border Patrol body-camera footage together with neighbors' phone videos of an immigration arrest in Chicago's Albany Park. A panel follows with Morrison, Jamie Kalven of the Invisible Institute, Dave Basnet of the NYCLU and reporter Gwynne Hogan. Thursday, October 22, 6:30–8 pm in the Great Hall, 7 E 7th St, with Astor Pl (6) at the door. Eventbrite registration is required and seating is first come, first served. Three more free Great Hall evenings are on our calendar this fall: the Sonia Sanchez tribute the next night, the Native Voices operas and David Hume Kennerly's talk.
