A one-day intensive in sashiko, the Japanese running-stitch tradition, learning to mark a grid, load the long needle and stitch geometric patterns onto indigo cloth. At the Textile Arts Center, 505 Carroll St in Gowanus, near Union St (R). Sunday November 15, 2026, 11am to 5pm; TAC prices its full-day intensives between $225 and $450, with the exact fee on the booking page. Thirteen of the 18 textile and fiber classes on our calendar are in Brownstone Brooklyn, nearly all of them at TAC.
