Bioglass Making with Fan Kong

About

A two-hour hands-on session in Cooper Hewitt's How We Make series: designer Fan Kong explains how kitchen-friendly bioplastics are made, leads a gallery visit with art and science case studies, then has everyone cast their own stained bioglass samples. It is held in the ground-floor Lecture Room at Cooper Hewitt, 2 East 91st Street, near 86th St (4, 5, 6) and 96th St (Q). Thursday, November 5, 2026, 4:30 to 6:30 pm; $30 adult, $15 seniors, educators, students and visitors with disabilities, $12 members. Cooper Hewitt already has seven upcoming listings on our calendar, but this is the only one where you leave with a material you made.
