Wax Carving for Jewelry: Beginner Course

About

Welcome to BKMW: Wax Working is the beginner route into cast jewellery: you carve rings and other pieces in wax, have them cast in metal and finish them with patinas (18 and over). The first section meets Wednesdays 21 October to 16 December, 6:30–9:30pm, at Brooklyn Metal Works, 640 Dean St in Prospect Heights, a short walk from Bergen St (2, 3); further sections run Mondays 3–6pm from 26 October and Sundays 3–6pm from 1 November. Tuition is $620 now that the $580 early-bird rate has closed. Bushwick Jewelry Casting and NYC Jewelry Lab also teach lost-wax carving, but this is the only wax course on our calendar with published session dates.
