Springfield Park Fall Festival

About

The Springfield Park Fall Festival is a free afternoon of family fun on the lawn area of Springfield Park in Springfield Gardens, Queens. The listing names pumpkin decorating, arts and crafts, music, inflatables, animal education, face painting, sensory activities and games, with more besides, so there is plenty to do for children. It is sponsored by Council Member Selvena Brooks-Powers. The festival is on Saturday 17 October from noon to 4pm. Our listing marks it as free, and no registration, ticket or age limit is printed, so it reads as a drop-in. Plan for a few hours outdoors: bring a jacket, and check the NYC Parks listing for any weather notice on the day. NYC Parks gives the park boundaries as 149 Avenue, Springfield Boulevard, 145 Road and 184 Street. No subway or bus directions are printed in our record, so use a journey planner for the lawn area. Several other park fall festivals take place on the same Saturday: Forest Park holds its Fall Festival at Victory Field from noon, Kaiser Park also starts at noon, and J. Hood Wright Park combines a fall festival with the Hallowscream Fright Walk. Juniper Valley Park and Wayanda Park follow on Saturday 24 October.
