The most involved of the six projects at the Garment District studio: a swan-necked mosaic lamp, set piece by piece in coloured glass, which takes closer to two hours than one. Same room, same materials, same booking-only rule as the shorter workshops — it simply asks for more patience and rewards it with a bigger object. Prices across the studio's projects run $79 to $99. Turkish Mosaic Lamp Workshop

You choose a lamp form and set coloured glass and beads into it by hand; the studio fires nothing and glues nothing for you, so the lamp that lights up at the end is the one you made.
