Five weeks of vitreous enamel — powdered glass fused onto metal in a kiln, which is how jewellery gets colour that does not fade. You work through wet packing, sifting, sgraffito and cloisonné, firing between each stage. It suits people who already like the bench but want something other than polished silver at the end.
