Ten weeks at the wheel and the handbuilding table at Art Lab, the art school inside Snug Harbor and the only place on Staten Island teaching ceramics on a full term. The Fall term runs from 21 September in three separate sessions — Monday morning, Monday evening and Wednesday evening — so the $400 buys thirty hours of studio time rather than a single sitting. It is the cheapest hourly rate for tutored clay anywhere in the five boroughs, which is what an island with one art school and no competition looks like.
